NET TradeStation Indicators and Workspace Installation

NET Indicator Pre-Install Setup Prerequiste and Notes

  1. This installer works with any TradeStation version, installs properly on Microsoft 32 and 64 bit machines (including XP, Vista and Windows 7) and will properly install all required files.
  2. Diamond Lock is the secure New Era Trader license manager software.
  3. Once complete you will have a new NET workspace called 'NET Workspace' with all the NET Indicators. Additionally, these NET Indicators will be available, like all other indicators, via TradeStation -> Insert -> Indicator.
  4. If you have a backup, secondary or redundant trading system, you will need to generate a PCID number for that system also.
  5. If needed, you may redo these steps if needed as no harm will occur.

Follow these instruction to install your NET trading indicator tools including the NET Workspace. All these tools run on TradeStation. Major Step Installing the NET Indicators and Related Programs and Emailing Your PCID Number
  1. Click on the following link, download and run this executable -> NET TradeStation Indicator Installation or copy and paste this link -> http://www.NewEraTrader.com/images/stories/net/misc/NET-TS-Setup-v1.7.exe
  2. At the end of the program's install, take the default option to 'Launch Generate PCID' and click 'Finish'.
    (The program can be installed more than once without any negative issues. Once installed one's PCID can be determined by launching the PCID Generator -> Click on Windows' Start' icon, click 'Programs', navigate to 'New Era Trader' program and select 'Launch Generate PCID'.)
  3. When the GenPCID32 window appears, copy or note this uniquie PCID key number and press 'Close'.
  4. Click on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and send an email containing the PCID key number to NET Support.

Major Step Entering the Your Unique NET Password Key

  1. After receiving your unique PCID, NET Support will return email your NET (Diamond Lock) Password Key.
  2. On your client desktop, go to 'Start' -> 'All Programs' -> 'New Era Trader' and run the Change Password program.
  3. In the 'New Password' field, enter the email's NET Password Key and click 'OK' and, in response, the program closes.

    If this is a renewal purchase, Step 3 below can be bypassed - simply restart TradeStation and the Oscillator will be working again.

Major Step Loading NET Indicators and NET Workspace into TradeStation

  1. Start TradeStation and login. If logged in, log out and relog in.
  2. On the command line, select 'File' -> 'Import/Export EasyLanguage'.
  3. Select the second option, 'Import EasyLanguage File (ELD, ELS, ELA)'.
  4. Press the 'Next' and 'Browse' buttons.
  5. Select the file 'NETChartTools' and select 'Open'. Follow the remaining TradeStation prompts to finish successfully installing the NET Indicators.
    (If not found also search in *\TradeStation9.0\Export directory.
  6. Next, the NET Workspace install - select 'File' ->'Open Workspace' and select 'NET Workspace.tsw'.
  7. Select 'Open'.
  8. On the 'NET Workspace' tab at the bottom, right mouse on the 'NET Workspace' and select 'Save Workspace' saving the workspace for future use.


Install Failure or Install Error

If your installation fails please note the above step where the failure occurred and what error message is. For example, "At Step 2 #1 the system reported "File cannot be overwritten". If your NET Oscillator indicator does not work, please reinstall by performing each step above.

Errors or Installation Probllems Found:

(1) This error has been found once and the solution has been found:
"Error:  C:\WINDOWS\system32\TRM1Lock32.dll An error occurred while trying to delete this file
Deleted/File failed; code 5
Access is denied."
If this particular install error occurs, navigate to the file (via the C:\WINDOWS\system32 file directory) and change the file "TRM1Lock32.dll" to "TRM1Lock32.dll-ORI" (or something similar) and then redo the above installation steps.

(2) NET Indicators failed to work solution:
After quite a bit of testing the indicators were reloaded. The PCID was rechecked and the PCID was found to have changed. A new password was given and the indicators now worked.

(3) NET Indicators failed to show:
With a recent software version update TradeStation created an indicator verification error that is affecting the NET Indicators. As a result a non-verified error is generated and the NET indicators don't work.

A temporary workaround required use of these TradeStation software version rollback instructions:

  1. Within TradeStation select Help (at top)
  2. Select 'TradeStation Update Manager'
  3. Select 'View all updates'
  4. Select red 'Roll-back' button.

Once Installed - What You Should Now See

At this point, the four charts and a Hot List (symbol chart) are loaded on the NET Workspace. The four charts should display the NET Indicators on all charts.

Chart modifications from those found in the NET Indicators found in The Definitive Trading Bible: On the 30-min chart there are multiple Uni channels. Extra Uni channels can be disabled as the trader see fit.
