40 Refers to a Fibonacci retracement of 38.2% (rounded to 40)
60 Refers to a Fibonacci retracement of 61.8% (rounded to 60)
80 Refers to a Fibonacci retracement of 76.4% (rounded to 80)

A/D Advancing/Declining; refers to number of stocks advancing versus number of stocks declining; also see the symbols quote list
ATM At the Money; an option term
BB Ben Bernanke, 2007 Federal Reserve Board Chairman
BO Breakout
CRB Commodities Research Bureau Index
DMA Day Moving Average; moving average over, for example, 50 days, 50DMA
Ecom Economy or Economic
EOD End of Day or 3:30-4:45 PM EST
Fed Federal Reserve
ID Intraday; refers to retracements for the high and/or low of today
ITM In the Money; an option term
M’s Monthly OEX options (as opposed to Weekly options)
MD Multi-day; refers to retracements for the high and/or low of the previous market day
MM Multi-month as in spanning several months
mm/dd Month/day (example 11/14); refers to the date of a retracement for the high and/or low; used for dates prior to the prior market day
MW Multi-week
ORBO Opening Range Breakout; breaks of the 9:30-12:00 trading range after 12:00 EST should continue in that direction about 85% of the time; works best if the break is after 2:00 EST; see Overview for specifics
OSC Oscillator, ‘Ed CROSS with Avg 71’ Tradestation indicator
OTM Out of the Money; an option term
RT/F Retest/Failure; 12/12 would mean RT/F from Dec 12
QP Quote Page from TradeStation; a TS trading page where multiple securities are listed
S Trend segment or price leg; refers to retracement from the high or low of the most recent segment or leg and not of the day’s range
S/R Support and/or Resistance
SOS Sign of Strength; refers to Oscillator holding above35/44 on any time frame; see Magic Dots web site for training videos
SOW Sign of
Weakness; refers to Oscillator failing to move above

T1, T2, T3 Profit targets of T1, T2, or T3 from an ABC retracement swing; refer to training materials for their definition and formulas
